Tare Yakitori Sauce

This Japanese dipping sauce & glaze is a classic component of yakitori dishes.

  • ½ cup Tamari Soy Sauce
  • ½ cup Mirin
  • ¼ cup Sake
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 2 packed tsp Brown Sugar



Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan.

Bring the mixture to a boil and simmer until it has reduced by half its volume. Use immediately or chill for later use.
