Our challengers have crowned Galya of Eat Love and Train as the 2011 Morel Challenge Champ for her Morel Mini Kabobs. Morels, fontina & potatoes are a hard combo to beat, especially when combined in a dish as easy and alluring as hers. With her crown comes 2lbs of fresh morel mushrooms for a job well done.
Our champion also gets to award fresh morels to one other challenger of her choice, and Galya has picked Mango & Tomato and her Mushroom Potato & Pea Potstickers Recipe.
Our reader poll was a battle between two very different (and very tasty looking) takes on a mushroom tart appetizer. Christo over at Chez What? eventually took the top spot (and the third box of mushrooms) with his Morel Mushroom Mousse in a Puff Pastry Cup, narrowly beating out Poor Girl Eats Well’s Morels & Spring Vegetables in Fillo Flower Pots.
