Shishito Yuzu-ade Cocktail
Makes 1 drink
This inventive take on a Vodka Lemonade muddles shishito peppers and uses yuzu juice instead of lemonade. The resulting summery/spring cocktail is packed with shishitos’ citrusy-peppery aroma & flavor (without much heat) with yuzu’s complex floral-lemon-grapefruit notes on the finish.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 Shishito Peppers, destemmed & deseeded
- 1oz Yuzu Juice
- 2oz Vodka (we used Smirnoff)
- 3/4oz Simple Syrup (How to Make Simple Syrup)
- Splash of Club Soda
DIRECTIONS

Put the peppers, simple syrup, and a few cubes of ice in a large glass. Muddle vigorously until the peppers are pulped and broken into pieces.

Add ice & shake to blend & chill.

Strain into a high ball glass over ice.

Add a few pieces of the shishito pepper from the strainer as a garnish. Top with the club soda & serve.
