Gourmet Sausage: Almost Like Having a Chef in Your Fridge

Sausage is one of the great underappreciated foods.  Borne from a tradition of culinary frugality and once elevated to delicious heights in the European culinary tradition, they now often go ignored because of the reputation of their most well known member, the hot dog.

Don’t get me wrong, kobe beef hot dogs and bison frankfurters are delicious, but travelling off the beaten path that leads to dry cured sausages like saucisson sec, or game meat sausages like venison sausage with merlot wine & blueberries can be deliciously rewarding.

A well made gourmet sausage is an expertly seasoned masterpiece ready to be quickly cooked and served with whatever starches and veggies you want, whether you’re looking to knock together a flashy meal in minutes or give your Superbowl party a fine dining twist (did somebody say wild boar sausage sandwiches?).

So pick up a case (so you needn’t worry about running out) and give some of our executive chef’s sausage recipes a try.  You won’t be disappointed!
