It’s mushroom madness around here! There are so many great recipes in our Shrooms for Soup challenge, and a lot of truly innovative dishes.
Before we announce the winner of this shroom-tastic contest, let’s do a quick recap: each of the 11 participating bloggers had to create an original soup recipe featuring at least one of the following mushroom varieties: dried matsutake mushrooms, dried porcini mushrooms, and dried black trumpet mushrooms. Many bloggers used 2 of the mushrooms, some used all 3, and some even used additional mushrooms for extra earthiness.
We enjoyed all of the great mushroom recipes submitted, but only one blogger can win this challenge. So without further adieu, the winner is A Girl And Her Fork and her Mushroom, Lamb & Farro Soup! The people loved your recipe (and we did too) – and your prize is $150 to spend at MarxFoods.com!
We’d also like to give honorable mention to the runner-up, Food and Beyond with Shroom Lentil Soup – these two recipes were neck-and-neck in the polls for a while.
As a bonus in this challenge, A Girl And Her Fork gets to select one of his/her fellow bloggers in the challenge to receive an extra shipment of any 4oz dried mushroom of his/her choice.
Thanks to all of the participating bloggers! We hope you enjoyed this challenge.
