A Five-Star Morel Tasting Menu

If you’ve been following our blog this past month, you’ve likely noticed that we’ve been featuring several original morel recipes and photographs by Natasha Price, aka Five Star Foodie.

Not only are her morel recipes beautiful, tasty and pushing culinary envelopes (a morel dessert?!?), but they can also be organized into a morel tasting menu. If you’ve got a couple pounds of fresh morels handy and are really looking to go all out, the below menu will really turn some heads.

Natasha’s recommended course order:

Roasted Morel on Honey-Dipped Potato Rounds with Brie and Wild Watercress Foam
Egg White Brioche Frittata with Morel Mushrooms and Wild Ramps
“Fondue” Turnovers with Morel Mushrooms, Green Onion Emulsion, and White Wine Foam
Slow Roasted Cedar Planked Salmon with Morel Mushroom Brandy Cream, Sauteed Miner’s Lettuce
Thyme Perfumed Grilled Rack of Lamb, Compote of Morel Mushrooms and Vidalia Onions, Grits Cakes, Nettle Puree
Chocolate Crepe Mille Tart with Frangelico Cream and Candied Morels

If you liked her work on our blog, head on over to her blog: 5 Star Foodie Culinary Adventures. The recipes she posts there are always just as intriguing as these!
