It’s Easy Being Green Recipe Challenge

Worry not bloggers, for we have not abandoned you. Our absence from the world of culinary challenges was temporary and is now over! If you’re wondering what we were up to over the holidays, here’s the answer.

Now we’re back in the swing of things and we’re launching a new recipe challenge that we’d love for you to join. The theme is simple: green.

We will send you samples of bamboo rice, dill pollen, green eston lentils, whole cardamom and mint herb crystals. Your job is to create an original recipe featuring at least 2 of the ingredients. You are welcome to use any additional ingredients you wish. So, if you want to be the next green gastronome, here’s how you can get in on the action:

1.  Email your name, mailing address and blog URL to Katie at kwallace(at)marxfoods(dot)com by Thursday 1/17. We will select the participating bloggers and samples will be mailed no later than Friday 1/18.

2.  Come up with an original recipe for any dish of your choosing that features at least two of the ingredients we sent you. Publish the recipe on your blog and email the link to Katie by Sunday 2/10.

3.  We will publish all of the links submitted on our blog by Tuesday 2/12. The recipes will then be put to a vote in a public poll.

We will crown two champions! The first will be selected from the public poll and the second will be chosen from the internal vote amongst the participating bloggers & our staff. Each of the winners will receive a $100 credit to MarxFoods.com.
