East Meets Delicious Recipe Challenge Poll |
Edit: The poll is now closed. Stay tuned for the winner announcement on Monday! The East certainly did meet delicious in our latest recipe challenge – the participating bloggers created a myriad of delicious recipes! We had high expectations for this contest and we were seriously wowed by the skill and innovation we saw. The bloggers were required to create two original recipes, one for an appetizer and one for a main course. We sent them Adzuki Beans, Dried Maitake Mushrooms, Mochi Rice, Dried Star Fruit, Organic Millet, and Hijiki, and they had to use at least 4 of the 6 ingredients. Now that the bloggers have shown us what they’ve got, it’s time for YOU to decide which recipes deserve to win. Which appetizer & main course pair do you think is best?
Total Voters: 692 The polls will be open from 2/21 until 2/23. One blogger will be crowned a winner from this public poll, and a second winner will be chosen by the Marx Foods staff and participating bloggers. Both winners will receive their pick of either 4 Kobe Tomahawk Steaks or 5lbs of sushi grade Yellowfin Tuna. The winners will be announced on

February 22nd, 2012 at 9:49 amLoved the idea of East meets West fusion cooking. Had a chance to try new foods and techniques which I wouldn’t have without the challenge motivation. Marx Foods are high quality and I love their chilis for Chili! Happy to have tried these Asian inspired foods. Feel like “I’m stretching my comfort cooking elastic again”!

February 23rd, 2012 at 4:20 amCongrats to Yi! I was sort of hoping for a tie when I saw how many times we traded that top spot, but it was a lot if fun, and I saw a lot of new visitors to my site. And there were a LOT of good looking recipes that I’m going to be trying pretty soon.
Thanks (as always) to Justin Marx for challenging us to do crazy things in the kitchen!

Donna, I agree with you that it was a really close race and truthfully I didn’t have the slightest idea who was going to come out ahead. I am just really glad to be part of this contest meeting new friends and learning new recipes!
